Intercultural Skills Link (ISL) as an organisation
As a community group for Minority Ethnic of members with more than 20 ethnic origins, ISL is run by funds and by voluntary works.
Current service :
Weekly English Conversation Session on Thursdays with a qualified English tutor from 9:30-12:30.
Weekly legal Advice Session on Monday with an independent generalist adviser, Dr. Adrian Thomas
Multicultural Events (trips, walks, presentations)
With the value of multiculturalism and social integration, ISL has a solid relationship with other organizations, as well as a wide range of networks of North Wales Race Equality Network (NWREN), Black and Environment Network(BEN), Wildlife Trust, BAWSO (Black Association of Women Step Out), Gwynedd council, North Wales Police, Coleg Menai, Coleg Harlech, Bangor University, NHS, Gwynedd Museum and Art gallery.

ISL Events 2011:
ISL event about Kurdish Culture has been done on Saturday 24th September 2011.
ISL event has been run in the consultation event in the Greenhouse on Saturday, 29th October 2011 at 11:00 am . It
took about 3 hours discussion (including lunch).
ISL event was run in the Greenhouse about Welsh Culture and History on Saturday 19th November in the
afternoon, in the Greenhouse with University Lecturer Selwyn Williams and Jen Rowland.
ISL event was done in the Greenhouse about the different Creatures in the North Wales on 4th December 2011,
Presented by Ben Stammers from Wildlife Trust.

1. ISL trip to Cemlyn with the possibility of making a short visit somewhere else on the way back on Sunday 13th
November 2011.
2. ISL trip to Beaumaris Castle on Sunday, 20th November2011.

ISL events 2012.
ISL has done the following events :
1. ISL event in the Greenhouse about the role and duties of the police in North Wales on Saturday 11th February 2012
at 2:00 pm, presented by Chloe Davies, the diversity officer and Norman Hughes, the Architectural Liaison Officer
from North Wales police.
2. ISL event on Bangladesh: Country and Culture, by Dr. Iftikhar Uddin Ahmed on 18th February 2012 at 2:00 pm in the
Greenhouse.
3. ISL event in the Greenhouse about Journalism in the UK, on Saturday, 3rd March 2012 at 2:00 pm, presented by
journalist Rayyan Sabbet-Parry from the Daily Post.
4. IsL event about Sudan and Sudanese Culture on Saturday 31 March 2012 at 2:00 pm in the Greenhouse, presented by Abuzar Ismael, Suleiman Ahamed and Amanuel Ira.
